The Parabellum-Pistole (Pistol Parabellum), popularly (but incorrectly) known as the Luger, is a toggle locked, recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol. The design was patented by Georg J. Luger in 1898 and produced by German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) starting in 1900; it was an evolution of the 1893 Hugo Borchardt designed C-93. The Luger was made popular by its use by Germany during World War I and World War II. Though the Luger pistol was first introduced in 7.65x22mm Parabellum, it is notable for being the pistol for which the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge was developed. –Design– The Luger uses a toggle-lock action, which utilizes a jointed arm to lock, as opposed to the slide actions of almost every other semi-automatic pistol. After a round is fired, the barrel and toggle assembly (both locked together at this point) travel rearward due to recoil. After moving roughly one-half inch (13 mm) rearward, the toggle strikes a cam built into the frame, causing the knee joint to hinge and the toggle and breech assembly to unlock. At this point the barrel stops its rearward movement (it impacts the frame), but the toggle and breech assembly continue moving (bending the knee joint) due to momentum, extracting the spent casing from the chamber and ejecting it. The toggle and breech assembly subsequently travel forward (under spring tension) and the next round from the magazine is loaded into the chamber. The entire sequence occurs in a …

Love this gun too hard! <33
looks like the star wars gun
And for anybody who thinks that the ak 47 is better than the m4 all the ak is, is a 30/30 automatic verson thats just more sturder but kicks like a mule and not the best accuracy
Hey i am thinking of buying one for another home defence and i need to know the caliber
@Winghelm indeed my son , indeed
@ArrowSmith95 Everything is not what it seems to be…
This gun was meant to be fired one handed.
1:07 i like how they have a canadian uniformed person holding the luger
@ballisstix Actually, the Luger is highly reliable with the right ammunition; I ought to know, I own two Lugers that I had to replace the springs on and experiment with ammo to get them to feed. Also you HAVE to keep them clean (unlike a Glock!) I also learned that they will feed hollowpoints just fine (the right shape, that is.)
Both average 2″ (sometimes better) at 30 yards; compare that to my Glock 27 which sometimes doesn’t get all three shots on a piece of computer paper at that range.
@bjggjb glocks are the most beautiful guns… IMHO
looks like the nambu from cod waw
nice metal gear solid music
lol song
@celestiall So you would take a gun that *looks* over a gun that is reliable? Look at the M16 vs AK74 debate. Very self explanitory there.
@ballisstix Looks matter for everything!!!
That looks like it could jam so easily.. But such an epic action… They don’t make them like they used to…
soooo beautiful
so elegant
Metal Gear Solid 1 Musik in Hangar
I think this pistol looks awesome!
@MavHunter20XX let someone take a 9 to the head and call it weak….9mm is a better offensive weapon and the .45 a better defensive weapon.
Luger – also libererated by allied forces.
@Peidmonte89 not when you’re forced to use FMJ for offensive purposes, damn Hagues convention.
9mm is and has been, and always will be my fav handgun cartridge. Super affordable, high capacity, acceptable stopping power, easily controlled, and very plentiful. This is one of the funkiest and yet coolest looking pistols of all time IMO.
